Building AI for Data-driven Life Sciences

Dr. Eric Wang is a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Diego. He integrates neuroscience and artificial intelligence, with a focus on applying machine learning to multi-omics and neural datasets to better understand—and ultimately treat biomedical disorders.

At Piton Therapeutics, Dr. Wang leads innovation in AI and data analytics. He has been instrumental in building the Fathom™ platform, which leverages deep learning, AI agents, large-scale multi-omics data integration to uncover novel disease mechanisms and accelerate therapeutic discovery. His work has enabled Piton to pioneer precision medicine approaches that are reshaping how complex diseases are understood and treated.

Dr. Wang brings over a decade of experience in both academic and industry research, including previous roles at Stanford and UCSD. His diverse expertise spans machine learning, large language models, neuroscience, and translational stroke research. He is the co-author of multiple high-impact publications in journals such as Nature Neuroscience, Cell, and Neuron.
