Dr. Ruchi Jain is a molecular microbiologist and protein biochemist with deep expertise in preclinical drug development. At Piton Therapeutics, she leads the biology team, driving innovative research to unlock new therapies rooted in the microbiome. Her work spans target validation, assay development, and translational models, all aimed at advancing first-in-class therapeutics for complex diseases.

Prior to joining Piton, Dr. Jain held senior scientific roles at Artizan Biosciences and Vanessa Biosciences, where she led discovery programs targeting inflammatory and infectious diseases. Her academic background includes over a decade of research at Yale University, where she contributed to high-impact microbiome and infectious disease studies and secured NIH and institutional grant funding.

Dr. Jain holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Parasitology and Cell Biology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications. Her scientific leadership, technical rigor, and commitment to mentorship continue to make a lasting impact on both the field and the next generation of scientists.
